HANANIA: Facebook caves into political pressure on Israel-Palestine dispute, For Immediate Release, Maerch 17, 2008

Facebook caves in to pressure and threats
By Ray Hanania –
Boy. That didn’t take long for Facebook to cave in to extremist pro-Israel pressure. The ink wasn’t dry on yesterday’s column in which I applauded Facebook for doing the right thing. Doing the right thing is so rare in today’s world of lying, deception and political principle. And apparently, it’s even rarer at Facebook when it comes to the issue of Palestine and Israel.

HANANIA: Rev. Wright crosses line but is wrongly disparaged, For Immediate Release, March 15, 2008

Rev. Wright crosses line but is wrongly disparaged
By Ray Hanania –
Barack Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr., is only saying what many Americans who are victimized by ongoing American racism and hatred believe deep down. It’s just that when you are a victim of American-style hate, and when your voices are intentionally shut-out because of your race and your religion, you sometimes go a little too far, as Rev. HANANIA: Ashqar prosecution symbolizes American legal hypocrisies, For Immediate Release, 11-23-07

American hypocrisy in Ashqar political persecution

By Ray Hanania – Palestinian Muslim Abdelhaleem Ashqar was sentenced to 11 years in prison this week because he refused to testify against an organization he says is defending the rights his people. Ashqar was a part of the political persecution launched by disgraced former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft that also included Bridgeview car salesman Mohammed Salah. Like Salah, Ashqar was singled out for political convenience. Although neither man had anything to do with allegations of terrorism – a fact proven in their trials – they were instead vindictively punished because of America’s one-sided policies that prosecute Palestinian extremism but ignore extremism in Israel that also has undermined peace.
