SHILLO: Mother’s Day gift from Hillary Clinton — “obliterate Iran” For Immediate Release, May 5, 2008

Mother’s Day gift from Hillary Clinton—Obliterate Iran?
By Saffiya Shillo –
As a woman I was thrilled to see, in my lifetime, a woman run for president.  A woman that actually had a good chance at winning.  On the heals of the primary in Indiana and a Mother’s Day weekend, the race for Democratic Party nominee ends.  As it does, Mother’s across America need to seriously reconsider their support for Hillary Clinton.  She has crossed the line of motherhood by vowing to “obliterate” Iran this past week.  Threatening to kill mothers and children does not reflect well on American mothers.  She has revealed that she does not have the compassion and wisdom to be president.  The very thing people are looking for in a woman president.

HANANIA: Can we “obliterate” the emotion-filled election pandering, please? For Immediate Release, May 4, 2008

Can we “obliterate” the emotion-filled election pandering, please?
By Ray Hanania – I think I actually now prefer a president who can’t properly pronounce the word “nuclear” over someone who keeps using it like the theme in a “Get Out the Vote” election strategy. Hillary Clinton said she would “obliterate” Iran if the Persian nation were to use a nuclear weapon against Israel. My guess is Israel can take care of itself. But vowing to “obliterate” Iran sure doesn’t hurt when you face the very likely possibility that the only way to win the Democratic Party nomination is to steal it.

HANANIA: Obama “controversies” bring out America’s underlying race problems, For Immediate Release, April 29, 2008

Obama “controversies” bring out America’s underlying race problems
By Ray Hanania –
Some people say the controversy surrounding presidential nominee Barack Obama is about his policies and his controversial associates. But the real issues underlying everything in this presidential election is race and the failure of America’s to really get past the racial divide that up until the late 1960s was characterized by hatred, violence and a Black-White divide.

HANANIA: Something annoying about Hillary Clinton, For Immediate Release, April 23, 2008

Something annoying about Hillary Clinton
By Ray Hanania –
There’s something about Hillary Clinton that’s starting to bug me. As a very independent Democrat who originally leaned heavily towards Hillary Clinton against the tide of Illinois support for Barack Obama, her negative attacks against Obama and smug-sounding cockiness in winning the Pennsylvania primary – one state – is bugging me.

HANANIA: Mainstream racism only becomes an issue when it is convenient, For Immediate Release, 03-07-08

Only Blacks, Muslims and “others” required to repudiate “their” bigots
By Ray Hanania –
When controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan endorsed Barack Obama in a three-hour speech, the outcry demanding that Obama denounce Farrakhan was deafening. And the criticism of the widerspread racism against Muslims, Blacks, Arabs and “others” only became important as a way for mainstream media and leaders to defend themselves against the truth that they are more racist and bigoted than anyone associated with Obama who has ever said anything terrible about other people.

ALARABI: Hillary Clinton and anti-Muslim racism, For Immediate Release, 3-07-08

Hillary Clinton and anti-Muslim racism
By Ali Alarabi — I must say that when I heard the national media repeatedly playing out the words of Ohio talk show host, Bill Cunningham — emphasizing the name of Hussein in Obama’s name — not only was Cunningham coming across as an anti Muslim, bigoted racist, but the national media seemed to be applauding him by playing over and over again like a broken record. It is not a good feeling, to say the least, to think the media had become complicit in spreading hatred and racial discrimination simply because someone has a “Muslim” middle name. I also  take it that  Muslims with an obvious Muslim first or last names are viewed as suspects.

HANANIA: Can Tony Rezko get a fair trial? For Immediate Release, March 3, 2008

Can Tony Rezko get a fair trial?
By Ray Hanania  –
In the post-Sept. 11th world of growing anti-Arab sentiment in America, can an Arab American get a fair trial in an American court room?  As his trial begins this week, there are many reasons to believe that Arab American businessman Antoin “Tony” Rezko will not get a fair trial. The impact on Rezko’s ability to get a fair trial will probably be under-estimated.

GUEST COLUMN: The Farrakhan Distraction, For Immediate Release, March 2, 2008

The Farrakhan Distraction
By Linda Mamoun —
Monday began with President Clinton firmly denouncing Mr. Farrakhan and ended with Bob Dole and Newt Gingrich both following suit and attacking Mr. Clinton for not denouncing Mr. Farrakhan by name. Perhaps tomorrow Phil Gramm will accompany his attack on Mr. Farrakhan with an attack on Mr. Dole for not attacking Mr. Farrakhan at greater length. The game can be played indefinitely with short-term political profit, since no white candidate is ever going to lose by decrying the Nation of Islam. But what exactly is being accomplished? Yes, Mr. Farrakhan is a menace and must be watched vigilantly. Still, white America makes a fetish of him at its own peril. Read more »

HANANIA: Nader proves his selfishness once again, For Immediate Release, Feb. 25, 2008

Ralph Nader proves his selfishness once again
By Ray Hanania –
Ralph Nader says he’s running for president of the United States as a 3rd Party Candidate because America needs him. Really? It sounds more like the same old broken Ralph Nader record, one of a selfishness that helped to derail the Democratic Party in the past and insure the election of George W. Bush, one of our nation’s worst presidents ever. Ralph Nader once was a champion of American consumers. But that was decades ago. Nader must have believed the American people were not grateful for his outspokenness on strategies to strengthen the economy. Now he says he wants to run for president. Again.

GUEST COLUMN: What if Obama is? For Immediate Release, Feb. 16, 2008

And What if Obama is?
By Mohamed Mughal –

It seems that e-mail has become a negative campaigning tool in the 2008 Democratic primaries.  Voters from Iowa on have received messages suggesting Barack Obama is a Muslim.  And poor Senator Obama - he’s forced into a corner, having to publicly profess his reverence for Jesus Christ before hoards of supporters.
