09-20-09 Israeli Government distorts truth in response to Goldstone report on war crimes

Israel’s government distorts truth in response to War Crimes report
By Ray Hanania
Renown South African Jurist Richard Goldstone has completed a comprehensive report on the war crimes committed during the Israeli war started against Hamas in the Gaza Strip on Nov. 4, 2008 and the Israeli response has been to call Goldstone, a Jew who prosecuted war crimes in Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia an “anti-Semite” with no basis in international law. While the war crimes in Gaza are a real crime, the outrageous slander that marks Israel’s government response to any form of criticism is an even bigger crime. They argue Israel did not start the war, Hamas did. But the facts prove Israel wrong. But does truth matter in today’s world? Not when it comes to Israel’s government. Read more »

Shades of Gray: Ray Hanania’s World Comic Strip, July 17, 2009
Dozens of Israeli soldiers, risking retribution, violence and persecution, have stepped up to confess that they were ordered to shoot innocent men, women and children during the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip. Israelis who claim to support peace have shut their eyes to the war crimes, pretending that only Hamas has engaged in terrorism. But reports by the top human rights organizations in the world have pointed a finger at Israel saying they engaged in outrageous examples of war crimes including soldiers using civilians and children as human shields as they rampaged through the civilian neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip allegedly pursuing terrorists but instead seeking to destroy the region’s infra-structure and impose greater hardships on the citizens. Shame on Israel’s government, its military but shame even more on the silence of the Israeli people.

07-17-09 Aljazeera kicked out of West Bank exposes issues

Aljazeera Arabic under siege in West Bank and in its editorial offices
By Ray Hanania —
Aljazeera Arabic became the first television station to broadcast balanced news about the Middle East, but over the years its editorial staff has expanded to include several people who are less about journalism and more about partisan political activism, mainly supporting Hamas and the growing Islamic extremist movement. The biggest complaint has been about its coverage, which critics have called biased and supporters have said does not advocate pro-Palestinian and Islamic views enough. Read more »

SHILLO: Real Story: Media allows hiding of human rights abuses put U.S. troops in danger, FOR IMEMDIATE RELEASE, 01-06-08

Real Story: Media allows hiding of human rights abuses put U.S. troops in danger

By Saffiya Shillo – Where is the outcry from the American media on being denied access into Gaza?  Israel’s claim of safety for press is not warranted.  Safety from whom?  The real truth is that Israel has a record of targeting and killing reporters, peace activists and other independents that have been on-the-ground witnesses to human rights abuses.  Reporters leveraging themselves on the borders offer Israel a skewed pursuit of ending rocket fire by Hamas.  Read more »

HANANIA: Israel and Hamas both guilty of war crimes, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, 12-28-08

Both Israel and Hamas share blood stained policies in Gaza war crimes
By Ray Hanania –
If you listen to the Palestinians and Arab groups organizing protests against Israel’s attacks that have killed more than 200, mostly civilians, you would think Israel was unprovoked. And, if you listen to the Israelis who have both the one-sided and biased mainstream American media and pro-Israeli American government establishment on their side, you would think that Israel had to kill the Palestinians to prevent more killings of Israelis.
