Ray Hanania’s World Comic Strip March 1, 2009
The Israeli electorate’s continued turn to the extremist right undermines peace and reinforces the certainty of continued violence and conflict. Israel’s Prime Minister-to-be Benjamin Netanyahu has a history of fanaticism that has ignited the region into Middle East conflict.

HANANIA: As Israelis fight to claim victory, the peace process takes its final gasps, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, 02-12-09

As Israelis fight to claim victory, the peace process takes its final gasps

By Ray Hanania – Why am I not surprised that both the leader on the left and the leader on the right have claimed victory in Israel’s elections this week? Tzipi Livni Israeli Foreign Minister and head of the Kadima Party, a more conservative version of the old Labor Party, claimed a mandate from Israeli voters, while her chief rival Benjamin Netanyahu, a frightening extremist, claimed victory, too. HANANIA: Israel’s Gaza War backfires strengthening Israeli extremists in Tuesday’s elections, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, 02-06-09

Israel’s Gaza assault backfires and strengthens Israeli extremists
By Ray Hanania –
No one will really know why Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert decided to attack the Gaza Strip on November 4, 2008, but if his purpose was to strengthen his party in the face of Israel’s growing public extremism, it failed. Read more »

HANANIA: Obama’s growing pro-Israel cabinet should not worry allies of just peace, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, 11-07-08

Obama’s Growing Pro-Israel Cabinet Should Not Worry Allies of Just Peace
By Ray Hanania –
Like all Arab Americans, I was disturbed when Barack Obama selected U.S. Senator Joseph Biden as his running mate. Biden’s appointment was clearly intended as a signal to put Jewish American and pro-Israel voters at ease. It was designed to counter the concerns raised by the hatemongering campaign against Obama by fanatics like Michelle Malkin, Sean Hannity, Daniel Pipes and others who asserted that the Democratic candidate was “a Muslim” and a “friend of Palestinians.” Read more »

HANANIA: Olmert predicament could be chance for real peace, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, August 1, 2008

Olmert’s predicament could be chance for peace
By Ray Hanania –
Besieged Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced he will not seek re-election in the face of a growing wave of criminal investigations that have targeted his government conduct. Olmert is expected to remain in office until elections are held later this year, but his announcement has put in question the future of the peace talks he helped initiate with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. But is the option for peace really over, again? Or, does Olmert’s predicament offer a real opportunity for him to be courageous and bold before he leaves office and initiate a peace deal that just could make real peace possible? Read more »

HANANIA: Don’t allow Hamas to recapture control of Palestine, For Immediate Release, 12-11-07

Don’t allow Hamas to regain any control in Palestine
By Ray Hanania –
The acronym FATAH is based on the Arabic words “Harakat al-Tahrir (Al-Watani) al-Filasteen,” a movement dedicated to the (national) liberation of Palestine. Hamas is based on the Arabic words “Harakat Al-Muqawama Al-Islamia” which is a movement dedicated to zealous Islam, not the liberation of Palestine. Many people say the Oslo Peace Accords failed because the differences between Israelis and Palestinians were huge. But that is a lie. In truth, the real problem was Hamas. The failure of peace has always been caused by Hamas, a religious terrorist organization that as soon as it is done wiping out all the Jews in Palestine and Israel will quickly turn its wrath on Arab Christians. HANANIA: Olmert reopens door to Peace Abbas should not miss, For Immediate Release, 10-11-07

Olmert reopens door to peace Abbas should not miss

By Ray Hanania – Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert re-opened the door to a peace accord with the Palestinians and was immediately attacked by extremists in his government. But he was also attacked by extremists leading the illegal government in the Gaza Strip, which has been re-occupied by Hamas extremists. To make this summit succeed, the Palestinians must respond not with skepticism, but positive ideas. Read more »
